Keep it stock suspension for a road car. If you want to hit the track get a Rex with well sorted suspension. FG's are barges simple as that. They are good sledge hammers. For corner carving it is a battle of physics and futility.

Holly sh1t whats happened here.

Save your money and get a  grinder and chop your springs it worked back in the late 80's and 90'

EDIT - welcome and great colour combo

Tell me about it - did it on an xf and a Ef...

My wife bought me the g6e for my 35th bday so still happy with firm. I just sold a Sti with whiteline everything so used to firm. My roads are pretty sh*t though. Just want lower and better around corners but not race car... And budget is important to me...

Shockworks 4TW, not to bad price wise if you can install them yourself.

imho ill prob get some coilovers or springs+shocks which are reasonable price then when the new pirellis wear out ill get some rims which will sort out the looks.

id love to get it moving quicker but I dont want to spend the dosh at the moment as im saving up for a cairns to cape york dirtbike ride...

moving from a worked rex to this is a tough slog cause I want this to feel powerful and handle well but I love the luxury and it is a safe car for my kids...

and the low km are a real treat for me considering the dude paid nearly 60k for it 34000km ago...

Find a HP tuner and just get a tune for now, u will get a nice little shove from stock gear and will be under a grand. 30rkw would be a nice upgrade for now.

Make sure you can ride fast in sand as there is alot of it.

Me and Mrs Bloodycrashboy did a 4X4 drive to the Cape way back in 97.

we left very early in the season, had to wait in Weipa a week for the wenlock river to drop so we could cross. (there is now a concrete causeway across it)

We felt like we were the only ones on the track once we eventually got going.

there was a bike tour in front of us (we never caught up to them) but one rider must have not enjoyed the ride cos every time we came to some sand, there was a series of weaves from left to right, followed by an imprint of a bike in the sand.

sometimes you could make out 2 or 3 attempts to get through.

I laughed alot, cos there is alot of sand.

If you get the chance to ride the C.R.E.B track on your way up (runs from Daintree to Wujal Wujal) jump at it.

It was my go to dirt bike track here in FNQ.

Its about 1.5 hours drive north of Cairns, and is only about 60 klm long but it is an awesome ride with spectacular scenery.

4X4's really struggle, but its a absolute hoot on a bike, water crossings, big hills and some good jumps
