INTRODUCTION: just bought g6et off 88yo grandpa

Mine runs a 30mm on front and 22mm on rear (both pedders) with stock shocks n springs (which are in good order), handles beautifully.

 

I thought FG's came with a bigger swaybar on the front than the B series?

What a load of unsubstantiated wank. Been in a track and back to backed several sets of coilovers on the same car and timed laps have you?
As far as I know the fastest guy on here runs bilstein coilovers..
But anyway why would you suggest someone puts coilovers on a car designed to be a luxury cruiser...

seriously .... How many times do we have to drag through this crap debate from people who have never installed or set up or even been in a car with what they are fighting against 

 

great post stever but it's the B series that has a dramatic effect from a sway bar upgrade where as the FG really doesn't need anything done to the bars as they are huge anyway 

 

if you want your G6ET low"er" OP and want it cheap go a set of shocks and springs if you want a but load of adjustability/sportier handling go coilovers

Blokes over 40 typically have a different outlook on what "to firm" is 

 

under 40 and firm is acceptable when talking coilovers from my experience but that being said the shockworx coilovers are the softest coilovers I've felt but that's in the coilover category which is typically firmer that the shock spring category
