Finally got a package set up, well nearly. All parts and prices but still yet to figure out prices on a total package. These are the upgrades considered in said conversation:

Hey mate, looking at having the following done under your stage 2 xr6 turbo upgrade:
*Injectors (1000cc) Flow Tested Bosch 1000cc Injectors $660
*Fuel Pump Walbro Pump Complete Assemebeld 255lpm Walbro $325
*Intercooler (mick mentioned getting separate piping kit, works out cheaper) PWR or Process West stage 1 or 2

First choice – Process West Stage 2.3 includes race air box & battery relocation kit $2910

https://bulletperformanceracing.com.au/store/index.php/shop-by-brand/process-west/process-west-ba-bf-stage-2-3-intercooler-kit.html

Second Choice – PWR factory replacement Approx $800-900

*Dump pipe back exhaust system (X force or whatever you can recommend)

Option 1 - Advanced Headers BA 4” Dunp and Cat $900

Option 2 – Xforce Full system $1650-1750
*Wastegate actuator + Ported turbo  (mick had told.me about this under the upgrade package)

Turbo smart actuator $209.95

https://bulletperformanceracing.com.au/store/index.php/shop-by-brand/turbosmart/turbosmart-ford-xr6-actuators-7-12psi.html

*trans cooler

PWR or Aero Flow $250-350

*earl oil feed line

Instock - $180

Already have the sct tuner so no worries there, anything near 300rwkw would be awesome.

Not chasing anything more than 300rwkw. A bit over but I also need to think about the tranny.

Labour is up in the air at the moment but with the best upgrades it's looking to be about $7-8k. I trust these guys and I know they are very good at what they do. BP Racing is the place if you wanna check them out.

I have to consider brake upgrades, rebuilt tranny, strengthened tailshaft, general maintenence.

Advice anyone?

is 300kw on 98? im assuimg so but the power output your wanting is easily achieved

injectors - 1000cc may be a bit big for what you want

fuel pump is fine

intercooler - either is fine however the battery relocation and airbox leave a lot to be desired. a plazmaman airbox and custom intake pipe and relocate the batter to either the passenger side, under the front bar or in tray/boot

zaust - dump and cat will be fine. catback will flow that power easily and wont bring too much attention to you

trans cooler - they can be picked up for sub $200 full kit if you look

wastegate mod - doesnt need to be done at this kind of power level so that is really up to you if you want to save some cash

oil feed is a must

as for the brakes there are many options available to you depending on which way you want to go. A set of decent pads and rotors will be fine or an upgrade to the 322mm rotor is also an option, but pads will make a huge difference. depends on how hard your using them

Take this with a grain of salt. I am no pro, but I am aware you have a BA. Yes we all have a goal in mind for a specific power figure.

I had a goal of reaching 300rwkw and above, which was achieved 2 years ago. Yep I hit the 310RWKW in my FG.

I thought I would be happy with this figure and I would not upgrade again. Guess what happened 2 weeks ago? I got a second round of mods done.

What I am trying to say is that you should get the appropriate supporting mods in case you change your mind later on and upgrade.

Do It once and do it right. Don't spend twice.

I would suggest getting the PW stage 2 inter-cooler, but the hype at the moment is the Johnny Tig cooler.

If you can afford it, then get that instead. I know that the PW stage 1 Inter-cooler has been pushed to 400rwkw somewhere, but just look at the pics of the Johnny Tig cooler!!

You have chosen wisely in getting the ID 1000 injectors. allows you to push the car further down the track, should you upgrade the turbo at a later stage.

Not much more I can say right now. Have fun and I hope all goes to plan.

PS, budget in for additional costs like your timing chain kits, valve springs and harmonic balancer. :P

^ yep you will get bored, or maybe you wont but always think ahead. If you are set on 300 and no more then you will be pretty safe with what you have listed

Valve springs have been done. 300 is my goal, I'm not bored with the current 235rwkw, just looking for a solid benchmark. Still kicks the back end out like a horse. So I can imagine 300rwkws will see the horse going crazy. Plus I'm not keen on the small fortune it will cost to upgrade the block. Already spending a small fortune on this.

After revision, just going for the dump and hi flow rather than full exhaust set. Was considering dropping the injectors to 660cc but keeping the 1000cc. $6500 for the lot.
