The next time I trusted someone was a popular dude from this site. He was always polite, genuine and I'm pretty sure he posted my bits before the money cleared. It's not all bad but fook me if I'd leave my car with some one else again. I also left my car with said forum member, got nothing but A class service and a smile when picking up my car. Free vaccum of the interior and free seat adjustment which caused me to stall my vehicle when leaving said forum members place of business. Hahaha. Fxxking funny hey

Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't know how you can lay any blame at a workshop for a turbo failure? I did a lot of hot shutdowns in my first xr6t and sure enough the turbo bearings failed but they were also 130,000ks old. I spose if the thing is parked up immediately after a thrashing it would cause some damage where the oil gets superheated. and transmission shop guys in my experience seem to always give cars a bootfull, to make sure it shifts right. Pretty sure they can do this without going 150 in a 100 zone though...

The turbo would have been going flat out to try and hit the targeted boost pressure and that wouldn't have done it any favours. I say to them "don't do x cos y might happen". They do x and y happens a short time later. Sure it could be coincidence but overspeeding a turbo is one way to wreck it.

I mostly deal with owner-operators Edited 08/10/16 12:09 AM by skidxr6t

I just thought I'd share my experience with a supposed top level workshop giving piss poor service. 6 minutes ago, Ralph Wiggum said: I know a guy who bought a used car once... 5yrs later BAM!
