help why every hsv gts driver want to drag me at the light? and how to beat them

happen to me 3 time today now, first is when I get to work in the mornings, an redline ss park next to me, I drive the modded fg xr6 turbo, this nice fella was reving his engine so hard, when let it go, we almost had the same start, he did beat me a little, next when I try merge into the highway, a vf gts cut me off on purpose, I was getting up to 120km I think, he still cut me off, later this afternoon cruising back home, another vf gts try to over take me from back, I stomp on my full thottle, but still got overtaked.

 

my question is

 

1 why lot of Expensive Daewoo specialy hsv drivers want to drag the ford? specialy when you drive an xr6 turbo, I got no attention to drag them but them still look to over take, so many of them drive like sh#t

 

2 I got beaten cause I never used my cars full potential. my fg is an zf auto, I notice, the first trafiic light drag, the ss red line clearly had an better start, mine car just wheel spin, his car just goes, is it due to my driving? he was reving his engine very hard I can hear it, not sure if it's mod or not

 

3 on the highway, I was using my 3rd gears full throttle, is it safe to drop it to 2nd gears if I want that extra power? I think that's about 120k, could I over rev my engine? my 3rd gear was on 5000rpm, does the hsv gts has a better grunt on the highway? I sure that was standard due to no exhaust note, mine was 320rkw , not too far behind holdens factory rate 330rkw. how do I use my over boost option? I floored my car both on the highway, but I don't feel like any overboost

1. Just let them overtake you if they want to (if it's safe for them to do so), don't be a dickhead and start accelerating when they go to overtake you - that's just potentially dangerous and achieves nothing.

 

2. If you're wheelspinning you need to modulate the throttle... ease it in but of course you're not racing anybody

 

3. Don't drop it to 2nd at 100km/h... 3rd is right in the rev range for almost instant full boost unless the tune deliberately ramps the boost in slowly. If you want more power then you need more mods and/or a more aggressive tune.

I reckon he is trolling. I had 310 killer wasps and the gts had trouble getting past. I was on par with them.

Yeh mate I just drive around on purpose now cutting off turbo drivers because I got me a opel *beep* sexual vehicle

if you really want power on the freeway anyway you have to go back to first. make sure you are doing 100 when you do it

I took the turbo badge off so it just says xr6 but from the front they see giant cooler that im too lazy to spray black yet. 

 

I was trying to bait a HSV on freeway in 80 zone today and he wasn't keen which sucked :( he cracked open his window as I mashed the throttle to have a listen though.

Nah mate you got it all wrong. Change it from D to R.

R is for Race spec.

I like how the zf shifted to 2nd when I mashed it past the kickdown point at 80 when I was trying to bait the hsv.
