The stage 1 tune has lost it's appeal & now bigger things are on the card. Just want to confirm that've there's no reason I can't build a NA barra engine into a turbo? Would I be better off going for a BA/BF or FG donk? The plan is spool rods/forged pistons, arp head studs & crow springs/retainers. Of course a standard reco of the head is also in the plan. Head gasket recommendations? My plan is to tune this to 450rwkw. Any other advise would b awesome cheers

(assuming bottom end is mickey mouse)

Ive been looking over Atomic 698 phase 2 kit Or Spool kit, or F6 short. F6 short will get 95% of the way id like to one day go, Atomic 698 is all the way and then some, the price difference is about 10k though Ad to that a full drive line transplant = FARK

Think I want a bit more re-assurance than this... Where do I get pump gears from? These just increase flow or pressure? E85 has crossed my mind. Well you want the best bang per litre high comp boost on e85 is the way to go All about that BSFC! But in reality most aren't huge fans of efficiency like I am or have access to ethanol close by. The standard low comp pistons are incredibly versatile. Can even run 94e10 @365rwkw and done 12 flat on it with huge gearbox issues. Fg f6 has a stronger short block than the xr6s, I believe it's bigger rods. Best to ask the guys who've pulled em apart 100 times Who's your tuna? Wud just consider tuning on E85 4 extra tuneable power ... I have the Herrod E85 compatible pump so it allows the option... My tuner 4 current tune is Tunehouse... But am considering spending a few weeks in Melbourne for a holiday & getting Nuzpro to fit the upgraded ZF box & tune ... They're proven & cheaper than tunehouse
