Had a large file upgrade for Assetto Corsa, this game just gets better and better!

Got everything pinned to max with screen res set to 1920 X 1080, my ageing GTX 690 still manages to run a consistent 60 FPS, at maximum boost ( I think its time for overclocking )

Such a great sensation of speed running the Lotus Exos 125 stage 1 at Nordschleife  , with a  best time of 6:38.7.

So I decided not to waste any more time and I purchased a water-block for my video card.

here it is

its coming from Germany, so ill be interested to see how long it takes.

I've decided to go with clear hard tube and red dye with a triple 120mm fan 400 X 135 X 55 radiator

looking forward to building it, comparing temps to air cooling, and then overclocking the pair of GPU's

at the mo, playing Assetto Corsa the GPU's run at 70 to 77 degrees and the fan is cranking at 100%

hope to get temps down somewhere around the mid 40's

I already have a radiator on the CPU (closed loop)  it's a Corsair H100 (I think) and it does a great job

CPU is a Intel® Core™ i7-3930K @ 3.2 GHz that is overclocked to 4 GHz and it maxes out @ 60 degrees

So I don't think it needs it

these are the temps from tonight, during gaming I noticed that one of the GPU's was running at 77, the other at 75 but max for CPU is only 59

I think the max CPU temp I've seen is 62

Making your own water setup or buying?

If you mean buying a kit, no.

I'll be making the loop with hard acrylic tubing that I will bend myself.

I've never made a custom loop before, but I personally think straight lines and 90 degree bends look the best.

Been tossing up the idea of white coolant.

what do you think guys, white or red coolant, or another colour I have not considered?
