I haven't been on the pc much lately due to how damn cold it is. I rather be snuggling up in bed and keeping warm. I will say this. it definitely does have A LOT OF REAL ESTATE!!!! When playing games, I don't get to see the edges of the screen with my peripheral view. I have to actually look to the sides to see if anyone is there. I guess in comparison to my previous screen, where I had to move the mouse to look to the sides, now I don't have to move the mouse. I just look. The GTX1080Ti is struggling to keep the frames up there. it sits at around 40-55FPS in ROE and around 70FPS in TheHunter:call of the wild 2019 edition. Yes I am struggling to find alternate games to ROE. I played Apex legends for a while and then gave up. To fast a pace and I am getting old for these type of games. I am sure that 950GTX will handle it with some extra boost. Then you need some water cooling as well. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/92091-show-us-your-pc-andor-gaming-setup/page/259/#findComment-1683932 Share on other sites
Breeny Member 88 Member For: 12y 30d Gender: Male Location: Adelaide Posted 23/05/19 01:34 AM Share Posted 23/05/19 01:34 AM Well. Skid Factory too... Water cooling would be a fun project but I need some deskspace. Am actually thinking of building a workbench/office desk out of an old 42" plasma TV - it still works (just, blown caps so shes a little iffy) so could even light the thing up for extra mood. Have looked around to see if anyones done anything similar but have only found infinity-type coffee tables made from old plasmas. Anyone here got thoughts on this? Breeny Member 88 Member For: 12y 30d Gender: Male Location: Adelaide Posted 23/05/19 02:36 AM Share Posted 23/05/19 02:36 AM No, not really - it's old, low res and power hungry. TBH I don't even know if it will be any good lit up as it will shine upwards - may end up being useful as a tracing table or just as a cool but completely useless project. I figure at worst, it'll be a nice solid smooth heavy desktop space.
