what brand 1080Ti's do you have?

Also how much you after?

Since the guys here have twisted my arm, I am currently looking at getting water cooling soon.

That being said I am currently looking at possibly upgrading some of my gear, if the price is right.

gigabyte Aorus extreme x 2

nothing super important.

opinions peeps. I'm running 2x 1080ti AORUS extreme (they hammer and not even overclocked....yet) but there comes my dilemma, should I water cool the whole system or splash out and water cooler the whole lot. CPU Is already water cooled but thermals on this ENTHOO are Shiite.

discussions, opinions, thoughts?

You were looking at updating earlier and the system is now at least 1 generation old.

I probably wouldn't watercool something that I'm already looking at upgrading. (the blocks for the GPU's won't be swappable to a new card)

Maybe grab a case with better cooling for that system and keep the Enthoo for the next build which you'll watercool by design from the start.

If you've decided to keep the system and not looking at upgrading for a couple more years, then go ahead and splurge ;)

well I wont get any gains from going to a single 2080ti unless I really splash and go NVlink and the only other gain would be DLSS/RT which only has 2 games that utilize it anyway. I have plenty of wiggle room to run a 44 lane without changing a thing over this and I could easily go 4.7ghz without too much stress on the cpu I have now specially under a custom loop but as it stands now its on 4.3ghz and it gets bored with everything really, but then again I wouldn't mind a threadripper which I should of got in the first place but I built this for a steal so was a no brainer

If you are into competitive benching then get a couple of 2080tis. Otherwise, if you are just stuffing around with gaming and tentacle porn, I wouldn't bother upgrading, as the cost to performance gain will be crap right now and probably will still be crap for the next 5 years.

Watercool the whole lot now and upgrade when the system isn't capable of it's intended use. It'll still have decent resale value as cards and cpus don't suck massive donkey balls any more.

^I'm confused^

Water cooling is great and I'd never go back to air
I assume you want to keep the TI's for a while.
Just about all water blocks are card specific
But that's ok, just sell the blocks with the cards when you offload them

Very important to have enough radiator realestate
You may need a larger case
Also, never skimp on the pump or fittings
I outlayed nearly 1K for my cooling system
It's been running flawlessly for over 2 years
