ok following on from my what pisses you off thread.

 

should I buy a good monitor for myself and take my old samsung 22/23inch to work? 

 

or buy a bigger 27inch for work and just leave my one at home. 

 

also factor in for tax purposes. over 300 bux buy now. or under 300 buy next june.

32 inch 4k should be a decent upgrade. Only $430 on pre order and ships on the 22nd.

the pc at work doesnt have a graphics card and mine wont run 4k either

Mine didnt either back in 2009. So I bought one and threw it in. Bang, instant 2 screens.

If it's only for productivity then you don't need a graphics card. Depending on the cpu and motherboard you can run a 4k monitor on the igpu and use the hdmi output on the mobo.

 

You could also pick up an old 600 series nvidia card for stuff all and do what Arron said.

work wont let me put a card in it. ill be lucky to be allowed 1 new screen.
