Not even a blip on the horizon where I am - 2 street over have had it for >2 years

We don't even have a comment against our street yet.

Am on 100mb?? (I always get confuded when to use capitals) unlimited useage cable though so not doing it too hard - will only be the upload speed that improves for me so not too fussed.

Will be going the max speed, quota free when it finally does hit here - could still be a few years away though.

Tera is uppercase T, Mega is uppercase M, Giga is uppercase G, kilo is lowercase k.

bit is lowercase b, byte is uppercase B.

yep. 100MB (megabyte) not 100Mb (megabit)

internet works in byte and bit and to the power of 8 in transfer rate. hence why a 512KB adsl gets a 64Kb transfer speed (maximum)  add overheads etc to each packet of course will lower overall speed

100Mbit (or 100Mb for short) for internet speeds. 100MByte (100MB for short would be storage/RAM/etc space. :P)

100Mbits/s = 12.5MBytes/s

512kb = 64kB

etc

im allowed to be dyslexic on occasion. been a while since I did my I.t engineering crap but yep 8:1 ratio. Old windows dialup days you could go into the settings and change retrieval bits or force it to receive 4bits over 8 etc but it would depend on carrier to whether you got any sort of benefit from it (which was never)
