Once you know if you getting AMD or INTEL, then look at the motherboard that will support the CPU. Once you know what features you want on a motherboard and have selected the right one, I tend to tell the guys to download the manual for the board. The alternative is to look at the manufactures website and see what memory sticks have been tested and are recommended by them. this allows you to combine the right parts together and give you less hassles at a later stage. I use to buy on the cheap when I was younger and had endless problems with blue screens of death and drivers crashing and sh*t. But honestly in the last 5 years I have been spending big and have not regretted it yet. the only thing I try and upgrade often is my graphics cards. I tend to do this every year or second year, depending on what is out. Still have the same motherboard, cpu and memory sticks.

Starting to learn towards getting pilot licence so replicated a Cesna as close as I could. HOTAS is on the cards for when the systems finally up and running. Was all set to put it all together, get it going etc but I decided to move the office home and a couple of kids moved back in. Shortage of a spare room for the toys took the momentum away. Hopefully being able to offload my current PC to be a dedicated system for it will re-ignite it all again. Edited 21/06/16 05:16 AM by Rab

If any of you havent already id highly recommend going back and playing through an epic title that got you into gaming long ago if you have been into it for like 15 years or so. Pretty cool experiance.
