This is something that has interested me for some time but I have not seen any decent info on it.

Does anyone know of any good info which shows how much difference the volume of the intake tract makes to responsiveness on a turbo car?

I saw a post elsewhere recently saying  that someone with a highly modified supra went back to a smaller intercooler because the car came on boost 500rpm earlier.

I seems logical that a bigger volume takes more time to pressurise,  but how do you quantify it?

I went from a stage 1 process west cooler with stock piping to a nizpro stage 3 one and got a hot side piping kit + cold side and man it comes on boost way harder and faster. Used to be around 3500RPM now its about 3000 with the bigger cooler,

Just my experience
