Shell Optimax Premium non ethanol also resulted in stumbling and hesitation. United (anecdotal E10 blend) P98 did not. Yep that's just repeating what you said in your earlier post. This is one person's experience with one car/engine with two servo's of different fuel on a specific day(s). If you can't narrow down these variables (which you can't as it's impossible) or get a larger sample size (more people, same servo, different servo's, different 98's composition confirmation, fuel quality tests etc), then this information remains non-useful to anybody else who reads it in the hope that they can decide that the 98 they are looking to purchase will not be of optimal quality. It'll still be anecdotal until you get a reasonable sample size in all of the possible variables, so there's no point you worrying about filling up at the same station again to re-get the same result. Have a read about why "anecdotal" is not a good measure of typical scenario's here -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anecdotal_evidence (yes, I know I'm linking wiki, but the first section is quite reasonable to cover this topic). Sorry, my bad, didn't realise you said you filled your daily. E10 might cost you range or it might not... haven't seen a lot of solid evidence on this topic, either, with N/A cars... but I can't explain why it ran like crap, but I doubt it was solely the different 98's fault (something to do with your car itself, is my guess). Never heard of a N/A 6cyl B-Series falcon having trouble with different 98's other than rare cases where a specific servo had an issue. edit fail Kieth. If it's tuned on a particular grade of fuel then it most definitely should not be pinging

Just last night I filled up with Caltex Ultimate 98 which means the car will soon be tuned on this fuel. No pinging as far as I am aware.

He told me like 10 times only bring it in with BP ultimate. I wonder if the formula change has changed his opinion?

Not once has he mentioned it to me that I have to have BP98 in there. If he says that to me at the last minute, then he will need to pay for a full tank. I have used BP98 once and did not notice any difference. I rather just stick to what the car has always used, caltex ultimate 98. I normally fill up at Mirrabooka, Morley or Ellenbrook. It all depends on the price at the time. Fuelwatch is your friend.

I used the same servo day in day out. I just use fuel watch to pick the day to top up. I've never gone to a "cheaper" servo that's out of my way?
