I live just half an hour out of Albury, and can confirm the price jumps at least 20c/L. Always filled up when I'm over there.

But I go to Shell instead. All this talk is about BP but in terms of fuel quality and not pricing, how do they stack up?

RAC card for 4c/l off at shell coles express > having to pull out a scrunched up receipt.

I normally regard BP has having the pricier fuel than the others. Lately some have complained about their new blend and I find my car idles nicer on shell 98 now..

There was talk of this new BP blend having ethanol in it which might add to cold start trouble, among other things?  Haven't had an issue myself but I always get fuel from the same 3 servos, two BP and one Shell.

It was only when cold the rough idle and would go away when car was warmer.

For once I am on track to achieve decent economy, it's magical, you simply don't come onto boost. What will happen is I'll endup with no fuel on the expensive fuel day AGAIN.

sunday/monday fill ups ftw, dunno how it is over east though

yeah not so keen on the tune that my zf has, was built a few years ago with billet input shaft, etc.

It's certainly adapted to my driving style since I bought the car but the way it shifts from 1-2 is enough to make the car lose traction on a slippery intersection. I can control this in manual mode which is what was suggested to me straight out.

With traction control off and medium acceleration it's nice how it chirps wheels between gear changes but I like to think I drive with much more mechanical sympathy than I used to and don't wish to break anything.

There are many local mechanics who are competent with falcons, I would use one for basic monkey jobs (bushings, brakes, fluids, etc) and a specialist for turbo falcon specific items (turbo, ecu tuning, etc).

Sorry missed this one. Yes I only fill with BP as the tuner reckons the other 98 fuels can cause pinging sooner
