Miss XR,

I feel your pain, oh how I feel your pain.

My one year wonderous journey with the BA.

Damn cars. I just wish I could take on the attitude that I simply no longer care and you know what? Probably nothing would happen to it. my wife keeps on saying it but I keep on engaging in the selective deafness syndrome. "Sure dear, whatever"!!!

I can drive right behind a truck loaded with gravel for 50 kms in the crap box `84 Honda Accord and not get one chip. I drive the XR and I could be nowhere near any vehicle that appears to be a potential threat, what happens? "THWAK"!!! :banghead: :kissmy: Stone damage. Hell last Sunday, saw this lovely rock flick up from a Mercedes Benz and "BANG", right on the bonnet, ricochet was a lovely sight, hmmmm, right over the car.

All up: 2 door dints in the left passenger door and one large dint from a wayward piece of 2x4. Crease from God knows what......All on the same door.

Someone taking out the rear end in a secure car park. Still not properly fixed as once again, I cannot afford crap, had it fixed almost new thanks to Kwik Fix, they reshaped the bumper and resprayed the damaged areas but it doesn't line up 100%.

Then there is enough stone chips on the front to have an hour long game of connect the dots.

Windscreen cracked (just before the 1st BNE photo shoot). Had Windscreens O' Brien save it but it's still damn ugly.

Then there's the warranty stuff!

Boot and spoiler had 1 coat of paint, metal filings under the paintwork and the edge of the boot along the rear window was not finished off properly, jagged edges. <<WARRANTY FIX>> Basically the whole rear was resprayed.

Steering rack packing it in after 5,000. <<WARRANTY FIX>>

Seat surround breaking off. <<WARRANTY FIX>> The 4th, yes 4th replacement is on the car now. To help prevent it I've got crappy sheepskin covers on the front two seats.

Brake Shudder: Rotors replaced and 2nd pair machined for the 2nd time. <<WARRANTY FIX>>

And I'm sure there's more, just sick of typing....lol. :kissmy:

Is it me, but does it seem that parking spots are getting smaller and smaller.

I have had my car for 4 years and it seems that the spots are getting alot tighter to fit in as the years progress.

I think they are. I have a nice selection at work with lovely wide car parks, are you still safe? NO! Some knob still managed to thwak their door into my passenger door. You can't win.

I saw a clown at Mc Donalds the other night driving one of those horrid old square rusty Corollas back straight in to a brand new Magna and then try to drive off. The bloke who owned the Magna came out of Maccas quicker than a silkworm missile and dragged the would be escapee through his open drivers window and snotted him with about 5 beauties, broke his nose and a tooth. A bit over the top I thought, but I'll bet the Corolla driver never ever does it again. Funny thing is I was going to pick the spot but chose another thank god :banghead:

:finger: :biggun:

I bet you would like to kill em.

I feel for you as I know (judging on my last 3 cars and my job) that my first scrape is only a matter of (a short) time.
