Im about to purchase a set of 1000cc bosch E85/unleaded injectors and a Walbro 255LPH E85/unleaded fuel pump. I am currently running 80lb / 800cc seimens bosch injectors and a Walbro 265LPH fuel pump woth a custom tune etc. Now my question is do I need to get the shop to put them in for me (and charge me an arm and a leg or can I install them myself and drive I to the shop without any issues. Also a side question, at what point do I need to change the fuel filter and fuel hoses if at all? You may be close enough that it runs. Mine started and ran with 1000cc injectors after having 42Lb injectors in it. Never drove it though other then onto the dyno. 5) ask if u can fit the injectors at the workshop if your that tight. Fuel hoses will be okay. You will need to change your fuel filter every 500 kays for 2000 kays as it will loosen all the crap in the tank.

Hoses will be fine but if you decide to change them Gates make a decent e85 rubber hose that's ethanol compliant. Below graph shows mine with 80lb dekkas, 255 intank, plaz surge with Aeromotive A1000 pump. 422 is with United E85 / 414 is Caltex e-flex (E70) Missed your question, if you change the injectors you wont be able to drive the car unless your tuner can load up a base file suited to the injectors you will be installing. With the surge tank, is it going to smell like a space ship leaking fuel all the time? I haven't purchased them yet so probably better to just go with an in tank pump that will be sufficient? Sufficient and good are 2 different things. If you aren't worried about running low on fuel upgrade the intank. . I'm personally a surge believer, other than super heating fuel

No smell at all except what comes out of the pipes when its running. I've got a process west surge and fuel lab main pump. I return my fuel directly to the tank not the surge to avoid excess pressure in the return and unnecessary fuel heating.

Is one better than the other? And cost difference? I'm dyslexic and cannot turn off simple functions in tapatalk

Two 044's will go further and give you the option if bigger power.

I say intank because simple and will.do the job. Others say surge It's up to you
