Got a fg xr6 turbo and it's driving me nuts. Would rather get an engine tune but if the zf tune works I'll go that path I'm dyslexic and cannot turn off simple functions in tapatalk Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/91950-zf-lurch/ Share on other sites

I took another members suggestion to drive manual mode and I'm sorta hooked to driving this way mostly now! even when I pull up in 2nd it still has a little lurch when I select 1st. TCM tune can be quickly done if all you want to do is modify the stock TCM tune a little to only remove the lurch, nothing else? This seems like dodgy business practice to me, to force charge people just to access their TCM for a simple change. If you can't find a place that won't charge the full rate for the change you are requesting then you can go with J@'s advice if you're still keen to get the lurch fixed. Like I said, ask around to find a place that'll help you (OP). If none will, then either live with the situation yourself or pay the $$ to get it sorted via a proper tune and enjoy these cars for what they're best at - more boost via a tune Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/91950-zf-lurch/#findComment-1589552 Share on other sites
