Low battery voltage causing immobiliser to come on

Sorry guys, I got my memory wrong with regard to circumstances... as I do remember seeing 13.9 VOLTS on my multimeter off the battery... but it was not while cranking.

It was around 12.8 volts for a healthy battery not connected to the car.

 

What I meant was AFTER cranking, not "when cranking", the charging system (alternator etc) will add more voltage to the system and it should read in the 13's for a healthy charging system.

Also starter motor does generate current when cranking. But it doesn't get out of the Starter.

I have admitted and corrected my mistake. Feel free to keep making jokes about it, though ;)
