Sprint models? Arent they all sold already? Not sure If I can justify 55k+ for a slightly faster XR6T. Im wanting to trade in the 07 Aurion for a FGX G6ET but thought I should get second opinions from you all. I will be using it as my daily driver + uber ride. So its basically a workhorse.

Im really dissapointed that they havent fixed all the minor issues in the new model. Sigh.

(your all pushing me towards a bogan vf v8 calais now. thanks alot guys)

Im not a brand specific type of guy, had holdens and fords

hired back to back v8 calais and xr6 while on hols in Vic

Xr6 was thumbs up in almost all things, calais only had it over the xr6 on power and rear seat legroom

enter the G6E turbo, which I bought, it has it all over the Expensive Daewoo in every way

I dont know about the newest G6E T as mine is an 08 model

but as far as the calais goes up against my G6E T, it doesnt stand a chance.

the only thing that is better in the calais is the legroom in the back, that is the ONLY thing that is better.

I have friends who have sat in the back of my car and they call it a limo, the comfort factor is beyond doubt

Suspension, brakes and you'll be happier than a pig in sh*t compared to stock. (is what I'd do first the 2nd time around) and well under $3k

When you say brakes, you mean the disc things or the pads or both?. Dont they cost a fk ton?. Also, I think id want an LSD as well as those basic boltons that MattyP has mentioned. Im thinking 10k should be enough?

After spending that money though, would the car handle better and outperform the VF Bogan Calais or the VF HSV R8?

Ok what I'll do is this. Ill drive an A7/S7 first, then the Bogan Calais V V8, then the G6ET last.

Bruss if im not wrong, the interior of the calais (vf of course) should sh*te all over the G6ET but other than that the G6ET should be winnar.

from memory I did not think the interior was better in the calais to my G6ET which has cashmere leather.

The calais had black leather and was nice but not a standout in my mind.

The cashmere in my ford has been commented on more than once

my favorite comment was   "wow, this looks and feels very european, like an expencive BMW"

Better than a stock Calais, maybe. Better than an R8, not a chance. I had an FG XR6T with Tein coilovers, a supercharged FPV GT with Shockworks coilovers, and a VF S-S-V Redline (which only had lowered springs, otherwise stock suspension) and the Redline was light years ahead with respects to handling.

Ok after checking out the HSV forum Im getting the feeling that HSV R8 > G6ET by a mile (and stock performance is roughly the same?). But im also reading that it costs a crap load more to obtain power in those cars.

I think Im getting catching Boganitis.

Sorry took it offtopic.

My mate is Expensive Daewoo and nothing but. He has both new VFII Bogan special wife and HSV R8 ute with all the bells and whistles. Dont get me wrong Expensive Daewoo has made a nice car but I still love my G6ET.

With the 5-10k you want to spend later down the track the G6ET will not disappoint mate.

Yes you will need to upgrade the brakes rotors and pads o if you can afford Brembo's but T3's and good pads does the job fine.

Power is endless but always comes down to how power you want but as normal it's $$$.

It does not take much to get these cars over 300+

What state are you in maybe we can help you with a test drive in a modded T

If you get an R8 with an LSA then it's the best of both worlds. The power of my GT and turbo were great...but 90% of the time I miss my Redline more...coz street car...and traffic and sh*t...
