I have replaced the centre bush, trailing arm, shocks, blade control arm, springs and sway bar mounts. I have also replaced the diff oil, centre bearing, uni and flex plate disc. If I jack the rear end and put it back down and go for a drive the car is amazing. Smooth no knocking no vibration no funny noise. If after 15 mins of driving I pull into a car park and slow and turn into a spot there will be a knocking from the back like something is loose and banging or skipping. After I get the banging everything changes. I will get a slight vibration when I drive at 50+. A knocking noise when driving slow and it happens when accelerate and decelerate. When driving I get a noise which I assume is from the vibration. If I go home and jack the car and put it down it stops again. I have pulled and pushed everything under the back but can't find it. I have swapped the wheels. What could it be? Could it be a hub? How can I check the hub? If I spin the wheel it sounds fine and there is no wobble in the wheel. I'm pulling my hair out. Big thanks in advance....... Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/91865-bf-mk2-knock-vibration-and-noise/ Share on other sites

Turns out the new nolathane type has to be put in a certain way, and mine was done upside down. A couple of places looked at it and count find the issue (including one who wanted to book it in for a diff rebuild). Was bad an moving off at slow speed or sudden lift off. Some of your symptoms don't line up exactly with mine, but thought it was worth mentioning. The centre bush was the only thing done to the car when I purchased it a few months ago. I have had a look at the bush and it's red with 677761 on it. I have googled it but nothing. I have no idea what they are. I'll take a photo and post them later. What I noticed today was if I reverse and turn and brake it knocks really badly. Wish I had a go pro to see what is happening under there. I was advised to replace centre diff bush. I can't say wether that is the fix or not because I then converted from auto to manual and dropped a new diff with new bushes and definitely dont have the issue now. Sadly I always felt it was my diff itself giving out just dont know wether it is the case or not. My issue went on for about 12 months and it did get more vicious.
