Box stock T. Member 1,384 Member For: 10y 27d Posted 01/07/16 12:29 PM Author Share Posted 01/07/16 12:29 PM Its been about three weeks since the last post. Replaced O2 sensor, I got the fuel consumption down to 15 ltr's per 100km. This was about a week and a half ago. Now its gone back upto 19.6 ltr's. I have black carbon on my exhaust tip and crap spitting onto the ground from the exhaust. Crappy cold starting every now and then. On hard take off conditions there's a decent amount of browny smoke left behind like a 007 smoke screen. I'm hoping on the next dyno tune this can be cleaned up because its gonna be expensive replacing a 02 sensor every couple weeks. 8psi actuator and venom highflow cat for this round of mods. I'm gonna need a Garret actuator from MTQ, is paul the main the man to go through for the two parts I need? I have a $400 credit with Willall (for the stuff around with these Injectors) so I'm getting the actuator and retune done. Then I will look at throwing these dekas in the bin for some ID's. If there is an issue with parts they will deal with the warranty. Box stock T. Member 1,384 Member For: 10y 27d Posted 02/07/16 07:48 AM Author Share Posted 02/07/16 07:48 AM Willall will be fitting the actuator. All I need is a 8psi actuator with a 120 mm rod. Last time I was under the impression they were getting my ID's and I have ended up with 80lbs dickass injectors. And I should have taken your offer a long time ago to fit a high flow cat and retune my car Jet. But as ya know we all think we know best. But just like the ID saga I would stand fast and ask for what you paid for if you have a sh*tty idle and it chews fuel that's their problem and it won't be fixed with the crap dekas so process of elimination will lead them back to having to fit what was quoted if a customer does his job ( gets quoted on parts and pays in full ) then the tuner/workshop has to do their job ( supply and fit quoted parts and make it work as described ) it then clearly comes back to either party who hasn't for filled their end of the agreement and it's on them to fix 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/91862-popping-her-cherry/page/7/#findComment-1598792 Share on other sites
Box stock T. Member 1,384 Member For: 10y 27d Posted 02/07/16 08:16 AM Author Share Posted 02/07/16 08:16 AM So very true mate, I'm definitely not happy with what I received. I will have to put it to Martin and Danny and see what comes of it. I really can't deal with these dekas. And I know ID's are the best sort of injectors for these engines and I believe you would agree. Which is I should have in my car right now. Cheers once again Jet.
