running aggressive pads helps somewhat I think as well. cant really tell if its just the quality of the DBA's or the aggresive A1rm's but ive done bout 25 thou since fitting them with zero issues apart from epic dust and a bit of noise now and again. RDA and OE were fail..

Yeah I've never had a set of rotors machined in my life.  I've owned about 5 sets I think since buying my car - Stock, DBA4000, DBA4000, Used genuine Brembo (brake upgrade thanks to Ralph the legend), and now on my first set of DBA T3, the successor to the 4000s.

Had the brake shudder on stock brakes - replaced bushes with Superpro ones which fixed most of it (80 or 90%) but then replaced pads (to QFM-HPX I think) which fixed the rest of the shudder after a while.

Yeh that might be my issue....only ever had softish pads (OEM, bremtec, wagner). 

Not sure if im getting slight shudder again or if its in my head (only felt very tiny shudder once or twice on a really hot day - and I was doing a few heavy brakes). 

But yeh....guess ABS ozzy park are just being puzzies and want to minimise the risk of customers coming back and complaining. 

Might look at some pmus sooner rather than later   :spoton:

Those blokes cut off some of my rear brakes dust shield for me when it was found to be fouling on the new PBR rears and rubbing on the newly installed Brembo rotors.  Cost bugger all, champs.

 

I asked them to remove them entirely but it's more involved than the fronts unfortunately (which I removed way early on) so I agreed to the grinder method hahaha

Yeh pretty sure Luke said it was epic job to remove rear backing plate....like axel out job? Mine just got the grinder treatment too...but at another brake place.

They are just like most franchise businesses....charge high hourly rate and have minimum hrs too I.e. IIRC think he said even though its 45mins to do a front or rear set of pads (which in itself is debatable) they sid 1.5hr min job. 

Life of the no skill guy :( lol  one day I'll get mates who can help me do stuff for booze hahaha

I have these already with QFM Pads .... its pretty good but only on fronts rear are stock.

I still get brake fade though! Only on hill runs (uphill).

So would you reckon doin the upgrade in rear but with same calipers will get rid of this issue???

I was thinkin I'll need bigger calipers or more pots??

Fronts do 80% of the work so I'd concentrate on them.  Bigger calipers and rotors help absorb/spread the heat.  Pad compound would need to be looked at though first if not upgrading sizes.  Which type of QFM?  HPX (street) or A1RM (track)?

Try better DOT4 fluid maybe if you are getting fade. Perhaps you are boiling your current stuff. I run QFM A1RM and DBA3000 with stock calipers on track and I'm not getting that much fade, but then again I do cycle hot and cold laps.

Hi mate did you just get your front T3's and NS400's or did you upgrade rears as well to DBA 505E's with NS400's? I have T3's in front with QFM pads all around but now rears are finally warped and QFM's still fade on me.
