It says in the article that Ford isn't going to produce stock XR6Ts and XR8s...so are they all going to be sprints from now on?

Does this mean the cops are getting the Sprint??

"Ford has confirmed that it will only build 500 examples of the XR6 Turbo Sprint and 750 of the XR8 Sprint and will no longer produce the current XR6 Turbo and XR8 models."

Could be true....but would assume there is already some 2016 stock. I remember someone recently posting a thread here saying December 2015 is the last manual xr6t available, so quite possibly the last stock of autos are reserved for the sprints only and no more XR6T....

I thought Ford was closing the falcons mid year? Therefore would tie everything in and perhaps they will release their answer for a U.S. equivalent mid year....so coppers will get either 2015 built cars (rarely get turbos or XR8's anyways) or get whatever the replacement will be (or more than likely still go with commonwhores until they stop too)...

It's disappointing and sad in a way, that these high powered sprint models are being released as the last of their kind...then what are we left with?

I can't see a naturally aspirated Mustang 5.0 doing much for me...

From the reviews I have seen...the stock 270KW XR6T gets better 0-100 times...

From what I have been reading, the cops are going to have a hard time finding a vehicle that can match acceleration...the only cars available at a reasonable price are slower...there's certainly no quicker substitute within the price range...

The only car I can think of is the Chrysler SRT...the Golf R might be the go but I cant see it holdingup to the relentless punishment of highway patrol use...

Cops will be able to buy the sprints models regardless of "500 limited run" but Im not sure how is it going to work? Read that in one of the articles online and it had me asking myself if they have stopped making xr6t are they just saying its limited say same as for fgx xr8 when it came out and then the resale of police cars as they change them on a 2 year basis or 80k. I still dont like the way fgx look but damn they really went for it on this one.

It's amazing the difference a body kit, wheels and lowering makes to a car. (and a bit of photoshop to save on the expenses :P )
