I've been a Late model camira man since I started driving but I think of going to turn to the dark side! I'm wanting an FG Xr6t manual between 2011-2014 as it's in my price range & is a requirement from the bank as I'm getting a secure car loan which means the car can't be anymore than 5 years old! I wouldn't know the first thing when it comes to the Fords.. What is the best model between those years? Is there much difference? Do I get a ute or a sedan? Are they easy to make power? What issues have you had with your FG? What are the downfalls that you have personally experienced? Any positive & negative feedback would be fantastic! Hope someone can help.. You can have that feeling of converting a Expensive Daewoo boy into a Ford boy! Cheers!

If you do, then grab the 335 as that's the supercharged one and goes way harder when tuned. The F6 is the equivalent turbocharged inline 6 cylinder with all the fruit from FPV like factory leather, Brembo brakes and the bodykit of course. Are you aware of the large straight line performance gap between manual and automatic cars? Manuals lose up to a full second down the quarter in most drivers' hands. You lose boost every gear change and will almost certainly get beaten if racing an auto of the same power. We don't all live our lives a quarter mile at a time though and the manual would probably be more fun. I drive my XR6T in manual mode almost always to ensure control of gear change timing. Driveline clunk is supposed to be pretty gnarly in the manuals. I'll step aside for someone with more experience to take over from here. Welcome and good luck! I suggest reading some threads in the 300rwkw and 400rwkw sections and look for FG owners to get an idea. These cars make power BS easy. I ran an 11.9 second quarter at 120mph after spending about $5300 total on my car back in 2010. Could be done for like 3k if you're really thrifty I reckon. Main tip with modifying...CHOOSE A GOOD TUNER. Speak to recent customers of theirs and ask on the forum for advice. Don't get burnt by a dud workshop, it happens so often it's not funny.
