Guest cul08r Guests Posted 17/02/04 11:37 PM Share Posted 17/02/04 11:37 PM Aftermarket externally venting BOVs are illegal to use in a street application. There are some BOVs out recently that are adjustable, so they can vent internally and externally. The item being setup on your car is not illegal, but the sound it 'can' make is an offence according to the EPA.The one in the photo may be illegal, but it may have a plumb back ability, therefore it may be fine.An internally venting BOV will not give the same level of volume of the whoosh or chatter or pssssht that you might hear on cars with loud externally venting units, but you can still hear the quiet soung of pressure release, on my manual anyway.Andrew
