Have a look at your upper control arm bushes

That was the source of my shudder

My pad choice is also quiet aggresive on the rotor so it keeps the surface very true

Thanks guys.

Sorry yeah I have the upgraded pads and rotors, I think they are the T2 or T3 with the pads which Matt from Racebrakes recommended.

At first they were great, shudder was gone for a month or two, then the shudder came back. Replaced the front pads, shudder went, then came back again. And this is aftermarket pads and rotors. Its ridiculous that a standard car will shudder so bad at speed.

The car doesn't stop too bad with the setup, but the shudder is killing me and the only real reason I am looking to get something different on the front.

The shudder is generally only about 80kmh and above where its very noticeable. Would be nice if there was a solution without going brembos. It just seems that when I replace pads its good for a bit and back to the same old shudder.

I don't track it or 'use' the brakes much so I don't know why they are going out so quick. If I tracked it I could understand, but I'm actually quite nice to them :)

hahaha this sounds all to familiar mate. do you still have bremtec pads in there?  if so, get rid of them mate!

Once you have got rid of those pads, then get your T3 rotors skimmed. they have to be skimmed to make them true again.

Once you have done that, then get yourself some Bendix ultimates(to f*cken dusty IMO) or get the Project NU pads.

Problem should then be resolved. Yes that is the issue I had as well and I also got my rotors and pads from Matt. ;)

Project Mu*

I'm enjoying the lower dust levels with the Project Mu NS400 pads but they don't have as much bite when stone cold compared to the dusty Remsa pads.  1 or 2 stops and they are good to go though.  Just don't flog it until you've done one good stop.

Ah really even they need a warm up eh? Thought they were designed more for street duties.. My mate has the full on track ones and they nearly sent us into the sand pit first corner at a track day cos they weren't hot.. once warmed up they grabbed like hell

Unsure if this reply is going to be in the right spot since the thread isn't loading all new posts for me... but I posted about the NS400 needing a warm up.  We're talking really cold mornings they aren't good but just give it a stop from low speed, first couple corners and they get much better.  Haven't really noticed it during the day even after being parked up for hours.

Edit - aha!  Loaded the posts finally.

If your after good brakes

Braided lines

Dba t3s or equivalant

Qfm a1rm

Great street setup

Still running this setup as well and tbh the a1rm's are kinda sh*tty just putting around day to day, noisy very dusty, initial pedal feel when cold is ordinary and can feel long and dull.(normal driving conditions are pretty much cold for these pads) but when you beat them hard and they are in their temp range, 10/10. Great setup and pretty much as good as the stock brakes will get but I think street/track is a bit of a stretch for the a1rm's. Theres nothing practical about them really.

Keen to try the pmu's as they look promising, have already emailed them about getting some for the ST, which they still dont make yet apparently...

Why does the tapatalk formatting goes to sh*t...that was like 3 paragraphs..

Thanks guys.

Might get the rotors skimmed, get some Bendix Ultimate pads and do some braided lines and see how we go. Hopefully will fix the shudder.

Ive had pretty much every bush replaced in the suspension with the Pedders :)
