Dyno Using Street Slicks Or Stock Wheels?

just use some stock wheels, either xt rims, or stock 18s.

Had my BF Rspec tuned a couple of years back by Mick @ Pitlane so knows his stuff and was dynoed with Nitto Invos.Mick was puzzled why with the setup(GTX3582R/Plazamaman 1200 cooler etc on E85) it was down on power and suggested it was the tyres/possibly rims(dark argents).Replaced them with the original Rpec rims and michelin tyres and amazingly found another 35 RWKW finishing with 478 RWKW.As the both rims were originals we can only assume it was the tyres.

Here's a idea.

How about you use exactly the same tyres from your initial run, to your final power run?

I keep on forgetting that dyno's are not a tuning tool, and should never be used to measure a engine's reaction to mods against its stock reading.

Mmmmm. More power. Doubt it You may record more power but you won't have more power.

car will accelerate quicker on the street though assuming traction is not an issue

It will accelerate quicker on lighter wheels. A larger diameter does not inherently mean a greater weight.

I had 19 inch forged enkei's that were half the weight of the stock 17's
