I need to get the GTX on the F6 proper before I think about playing with anyone's rear end, and before I do that I've got a turbo converted primered Xt that needs sorting and before I do that I need to get some sleep at some stage. The good news is the Barra patrol is done for the time being.

I think I also need to crimp some battery cables on a blue shed ornament over the weekend as well.

Its a pretty good shed ornament, I will give it that haha

To be honest, didn't really take much note. I would at an estimate say maybe bout 20kg, I've used 2 and a bit boxes and they weigh 7kg each

it could be, as stated though these barge asses aren't really going to notice on their already porky gross weight.

Weight reduction is limited on these, strip interior etc to make any sorta difference. Considering the manifold would be double the weight of factory, technically all the performance mods I have done to this point have really just added weight.

I love sound insulation, it was awesome how quiet a mates GQ patrol was on the freeway which was fully lined with it!

I've installed it in the two front doors of my BF which made a good difference, would love to line the entire interior like turboknapp here has done!

car's looking good dude!

So in the need for me to get the car running sooner rather than later, I have stock piled parts like valve springs, oil pump gears, cam shafts etc. The intent is to get the car running and tuned then focus on some of the other jobs.

To help with me doing things in a modular fashion, I've gone down the component unit swap path

Will build the head up with cams, valve springs etc (all standard spec on valves), then when timing is right will do a complete head swap and while that is off complete HD chain, Tensioner, Oil Pump gears, head/main studs and crank girdle.

What timing related gear are you using?  I'm getting my shop mechanic to check for more durable replacements.  The chain/guide/tensioner in there are only 100,000km old but showing signs of wear, and keen to put something good in that I can not worry about over a large amount of kms.

Cool, I mentioned to them already that I know Atomic do kits.  They have only fitted Boss engine timing upgrades so they are checking it out.  Any others you know of worth looking at for the Barras?
