Yeah I'm more after do it once do it right fix, there may we'll be nothing major wrong with my engine, it ran for max 10secs after light come on by the time I could pull over. I'm only chasing 600hp max ever so whatever my best option is I'll go with it. I want reliable 600hp but

I think it would be worth trying... Not hard to remove the big end caps and check the bearing when you remove the old pump housing and gears

If your big ends survived it will be all good

What's the difference between the ford and atomic pumps?

Is there a thread somewhere I could have a read of maybe?

Ford gear sets are ( iirc ) powdered cast and atomic are a billet, it's the violent force placed on the ford gears which make them basically disintegrate on the limiter

Yeah I understand about the gear Jet but what about the pump/plate thing it's attached too?

Yeah I think whilst it's off we will check bearings also. If it's stuffed it's going to cms next year sometime or sadly maybe the year after all depends on the house renovation progress.

Atomic oil pump is better in every way type it in on youtube they give you a run down
