Here's what's awesome about the Haltech:

- plug and play

- easily available

- self learning functions

- engine protection features

- plug and play accessories

- tech features on YouTube

Sure it might not be the best of the best, but I've found over the years very few competent tuners. So the self learning functions are brilliant at ironing out sh*t tuning. This is my second haltech and I've had cars with other brands, and both my haltechs have been flawless for my mainly street application

We havent got the solenoid connected yet, we were just doing a base line run. But they boys think they can get a little more out of the turbo with a better AFR and more timing.

Hooked up the factory ECU and it all runs fine, so seems to be a problem with the Haltech.

Haltech has it's pros and cons. This workshop likes using Haltechs but they think it's a mix between a 1500 and 2500 with the features its got. We'll see what it can do when we get it sorted, as they havent played with the vct or anything yet, just a basic run.

Build is coming along nicely mate!
I couldn’t help but notice that you aren’t using the proflow manifold and swapped to the FG manifold. Is there any reasoning behind this?

Thanks mate.

I changed to the fg manifold because I'm not going to have the power to warrant needing a forward plenum like that, not anytime soon anyway. Also I have seen what power people get with the fg manifold and I wanted a bit more torque down low and the longer runners should help with that.

Torque at the hubs was 1100nm which isnt too bad. Hopefully we can have another go tonight or tomorrow! 600hp would be nice with the 2 speed

So got the Haltech back today, all back together.

Turbo kept dropping out to 17.5psi at 6500rpm. So need a bigger turbo and exhaust. Apparently a twin 2 1/2 inch doesn't flow real good lol.

410kw and 1128nm

Year 400rwkw is about the limit for twin 2.5.  No use farting through a straw

Its a turbo.  Just fit the largest exhaust you can.

What fuel are you running ?
