Modified a few things to make the inlet manifold fit better and stop it heating up so much from the heater pipe.

Also got it powder coated while it was off, looks heaps better. Intake temps are alot better now too.514268d45df324b1441497d314152e3d.jpgf3bb1fbb6b860f7bf05cec3c6c082030.jpg9bade73d4c62f065b521564c893270a7.jpg

Also picked these leather seats up out of a wrecked mk2 BA Ghia, odd colour but I like them. They needed a good clean up and the drivers seat has a few indents but I'm happy with them.

Never seen this colour combo before.

Drivers seat frame was a little bent, so pulled my old seat apart and used my old frame.d49e616a4be1ea33b787e85ef6c7b1ce.jpg78c02bb2bf6a1a4f72afd2991c3a423f.jpg10c2535709f5c6eb495ed2600465026e.jpg

Grows on ya Aaron, Looks better in person. I have the door cards to go on yet.

Jet, it's called Saint Elmo's Fire Kinetic Silver satin. Has a metallic flake through it. Looks better than in the photos.

I've got another rocker cover getting modified and powder coated, as well as a timing cover. Rocker cover will be red, unsure on timing cover.

So broke the diff a few days ago, possibly bearings or something but the pinion flange moves up and down and I get a loud bang when slowing down or accelerating hard. So got another diff and went to order the IMS diff hat but they're out of stock...

So engine is coming out. Got another sump modified and ready to put in and probably do arp head studs. e46dfe197e376f86886724b8604d6722.jpg5a8fc535bea7a73e9ff018e6d19bcb17.jpg7f43f3a35d2e87660ec6b42561933642.jpg

No, bushes are done and there's no way id break the diff bolt, it's 20mm od bolt, not standard. Broken diff mount before but this is custom. You can move the pinion flange around, not the diff housing.

That's the hat I put on a few years ago. Got superpro to make me a custom bush. Diff was fine the started whining after a trip, now it goes bang hahaa60953c23f6f8c711d1825b74c172a0e.jpg

That style of diff bush isn't suited for high power. Its designed to reduce noise due to the reduced contact area.

It's been fine, was really good when superpro made me a new bush to suit it a few months ago, but you're correct. So changing it to IMS diff hat, rebuilding the old diff with a truetrac and starting to get parts together for a powerglide to be put in.

So engine is getting some love while it's off the road.
