Stiffer Springs With Minimal Lowering

So why don't I want the car too low?

A.) Lowered cars is sign language to cops - "come and book me."

B.) I don't like the car's underbelly scraping on servo driveways.

C.) I don't like the front air intake under the bumper smacking into concrete stoppers in Coles car parks.

So who makes stiffer springs that dont chop at least 50mm out of ride height? Maybe KMAC? Not sure if others make lowered coils that are only 20mm to 30mm shorter. Anybody know?

Also, I have a full set of Bilsteins that are probably the correct shocks for standard XR6T springs. If I lower the car, will these Bilsteins be OK with lower coils, stopping the coils from falling out?

I am chasing more steering response, more tyre grip and I dont mind a ride that feels a bit more go-karty.

Suggestions???

Shockworks mate. You can keep the same ride height if you want.

I got my car lowered to 350mm from hub to arch.

The handling of the car is sooooooooooooooooooo much better.

I always reverse my car into parking spots. so I don't have to worry about the under guard scrapping.

Oh and it makes for quick getaways from a bank robbery. :P

Yes my cat has scraped a few times going onto kerbs, but that is about it.

I try and avoid parking on center kerbs in the neighborhood now.

the front air intake under the bumper

Just quickly, I'd be worried about an intake in that position picking up water and more dirt than usual. Having an intake down behind the bumper caused a WA guy's engine to die when it got full of water driving through a deep puddle in a car park. Bent rods etc since water doesn't compress like air!

Thought OP had an FG and didnt know there was a under battery kit for them? (Edit: just remembered a pingtune kit I think?)

And above probably happened to my old civic (yes maaaaad ricer). I remember going down marmion on a rainy day....then seeing the biggest white smoke cloud pouring out my exhaust lol

I parked up, drove home, chilled a bit and continued using the car like normal sold it a few months later so NFI if I lunched the motor or not lol

Oh and OP....just buy kings springs. Buy SL fronts (apparently basically same oem xr height) and maybe SSL rears to drop the rear a bit and level it out.

I am talking about the factory air intake under the bumper that allows air to the radiator and intercooler.

And Kings Springs are about the same height as factory XR6 springs?
