Hi guys, I have a FG F6 auto and it has suddenly developed this vibration under hard load in any gear, not just on take off, even crusing at 80kph and you load it up you can feel it.

Under light acceleration there is no sign just under hard load.

Car has a built heavy duty 1200hp tailshaft, most bushes in rear are near new or upgraded, car is making 450+ rwkw.

I'm new to the ford game so hoping someone can help, I'm thinking either engine mounts? Centre bearing?

Nah wait til one of the smarties on here comments. Cause I wouldn't have a clue. Centre bearing could be true if it isnt diff bushes? But that's just guessing.

I've gone through one set of stock engine mounts and two Technico aftermarket ones (possibly killed by exhaust leak heat but not certain - stock ones back in now and all fine). Mounts failing will rattle the whole car (like a big spanner hitting in the engine bay) at idle or driving slowly like in a carpark. Under constant power it's fine, no chance for the engine to wobble back and forth if it's putting out the big torque.

You've got big power. I think my auto slips a bit if I load it right up at low RPM. It's fine after about 2k though. It shudders if it's at quite low RPM and I'm asking too much of it.

Edit - how many kms on the car?

I bought the car with it, invoice for shaft says early July so its been in the car for over 5 months but would have done quite a few km's since then.

Its a Gibson's driveshaft.
