Bought a turbo from what I thought was a reputable company. Now I realise this forum is actually full of complaints from this company. How embarrassing.

Asked company for turbo cartridge number. Refused to give (idiot me ordered anyway).

Told was "in stock and ready to go". Took one week to arrive.

Arrived today with damage as shown.

No apologies from company who sent it

They refuse to pay for me to send it back to get a replacement.

When I unpacked the turbo (there was considerable packing), as there was no damage to the packaging, and turbo damage appears to be due to localised high impact force, I am certain the turbo was damaged before it was packed and therefore the person who sent it knew it was damaged.

1) Where can I get reputable cartridge replacement?

2) What is the proper garrett core cartridge number?

Fins still look allright.

You could still use that turbo core without any problems as long as it spins freely.

Whom did you buy it from ? PM me if you want.

I understand and agree with your concern about using it so if the supplier wont do anything, hit yp Fair Trading

name and shame, for sure.

send it back and get a replacement at minimum. Ideally send it back and get a refund and buy from a reputable place.

If it has broken the seal around the edge of where the housing mounts, you DEFINITELY don't want to use it. l

But I wouldn't be taking the chance no matter what and sending it back :)

With regard to your serial number question.
Most of then they are near the oil connectors on the CHRA.
