Yeah what Ralph said -- one on each port would be good.

Still not sure why I got mine but that's what I got and have gotten used to where it 'should' be at any given time whilst driving but if I could afford to get Wal to put together an AFR gauge, I would

EGT is a total waste of time.

Unless you're running a probe per exhaust port it's not going to deliver any useful information.

May as well also comment that Boganspeed (Phil) said he wasted money fitting an EGT to his FG ute.

Can also comment that I feel the same way........ it wasn't a 'total' waste of my money but close enough

EGT is a total waste of time.

Unless you're running a probe per exhaust port it's not going to deliver any useful information.

For my situation, would one sensor, in dump ... Linked into motec with shift light warning setup ... So once a temperature reaches XXX, the light comes on, so I can shut off.

Wise ? Or a waste ?

^Waste. Meth has large operating range were the motor will be left in tact. 10 seconds of throttle at a time you won't see the change on the gauge quick enough. Better off just turning on engine protection to monitor oil, fuel, coolant pressure to shut off if any problems. You should also add a pressure relief in a couple of core plug holes and coolant tank in the boot for incase of head lifting water under tyres again situation.

Yeah that was the plan: to have a common motec shift light (like 10 high intensity LEDs) for any low/high oil/fuel/coolant/etc ... As soon as the light goes on, it goes off.

I am grout filling the block, welding up the bottom of the head, running 14.3mm ARP headstuds with atomic oversize washers.... I dislike coolant haha
