I use it in the drag bike.

Makes a butt load of water so the oil and filter gets changed every meeting.

It also eats everything that is not anodised.

You need special fuel lines as well and it leaves a gritty deposit.

Which is why I have to flush the whole fuel system with petrol after every meeting.

Also, you use roughly twice as much fuel per hp. Which is why my little 1000cc motorbike uses ID2000's and a massive fuel pump.

Its burns your eyes and throat too.

Wayyyy to much hassle.

So it's a no from me.

mattyp, I love running methanol, but my car runs as often as peter makes a credible post that is under 2 lines of text.

it is not worth the drama involved with it, for tuning, running it, fuel lines, and general storage (hell, it f*cks up your hand pump too, etc).

you'd be crazy to go methanol with the ease and support of e85

all good, I'm not having a go or anything ... just warning you about it from personal use/experience of it <img data-cke-saved-src="https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/uploads/style_emoticons/default/smile3.gif"src="https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/uploads/style_emoticons/default/smile3.gif" class="bbc_emoticon" title=":)" />
