I'm in the same boat, our 06 is worth pittance so keeping it makes the most sense for now.

lol, me too I bought a brand new 7 seater territory in 2010, done 58000 kms in it now.

doesnt get driven much, but still comes in handy at times.

paid 37k in cash for it so at least ive only been hit by depreciation and not finance as well (was a tax write off for a while too so got some $ back that way)

My rego/RACV/insurance and maintenance/running costs cost more than my car

I've also claimed depreciation of my car asset on tax each year since I bought it as well. About 60% business use each year anyway. Forgot about that!

But really it's all about the boost addiction.

Change all 4 new tyres, Rego inspection done, pay CTP and rego before end of this month and run for another year.

New car planning keep it few months later for the 2016 built model.
