I have an intermittent squeak from both my front seats (mk2 XR leather). Is this a common issue, and can you point me in the right direction as to how to fix it? Is it just a matter of greasing up the rails, or is there more involved?

BA mkII

BF mkII

FG mkII

?

I know the b series had an issue with the seat base cracking. Not sure if they fixed it in the FG.

I have an FG and a damn squeaking problem that is driving me crazy.

the car has been taken back to the dealership twice and the seat base has not cracked.

"They put some lube on some bolt" and it goes away for a week or two and then comes back.

I have no idea what to do to fix it, but I think the noise is actually coming from he pivot point between the lower and upper seat.

I have been going bonkers trying o locate it. Only happens when giving the go loud pedal something to do.

I posted a fix for squeaky FG drivers seat over a year ago with pictures. Problem is related to seat base to seat rail bolts coming loose.

On phone atm so can't search for thread.

My seat squeeks when its lowered right down.

If yours is sitting in its fully lowered position, try lifting it up a little.
