I could come home at even 3am, pull up in the car port and the thermo fans could run for like 3min after the car is turned off, no matter how easy I drove it & with the aircon off. They come of occasionally in Winter but basically all the time in Summer. Iv even had them start running as soon as I put the key in the ignition when it was last driven over an hour previously.Note that I do live in a very hot & dry area but the fans really don't need to be running like this with the car off.Temp gauge is usually a little below half.Is there a sensor or something I could try replacing? The temp fluctuates a bit and the thermos come on when they need to, temp drops again and a cycle occurs. If you pull up and switch off just as the fans have been called to run its probably a good thing that ford made them run regardless until a cut out temp is reached.Probably could be altered in a tune but maybe not a good idea? Your car usually gets hotter when you switch off initially. Edited 04/11/15 12:11 PM by barnz

Should keep it cooler and stop them running after shutdown.

Now tuned they are quite often on when the cars running but they turn off always when I turn it off.

Without coolant circulating they wouldn't do much for the engine anyway?Sent from my 0PJA10 using Tapatalk

This will keep it cooler and will only run for a few seconds at most on shutdown. Factory settings for the fans seems to bring 'em on a little too late. I asked Pitlane to replace my thermistat with a new one and its been okay since. Does come on when needed but its not on all the time like it used to. I suspect mine had gone faulty. Otherwise low speed all the time till I kill ignition.
