that's what I've been thinking of doing is putting it into the walk in for those reason made fluffy. So far in our walk in we will have Home Security, CCTV and main circuit board so if power cuts out we don't need to walk outside to the power board to check. Plus NBN now.

My house had to have nbn distribution box as part of the build

Was $1500, but that was four data points and 4 TV points, trench to the nbn pit and then conduit from external wall to the box

I'm sure the price is way to much but it's part of the new build

Box is in the garage, and has Powerpoint next to it

I don't have a photo of mine but it is almost identical to this photo

Thanks feed back wilko, man that's does sound pricey but needed. We have already got the conduit from external to the street.

So much to read up on about this NBN

Another home hub pic pixy

Lots of things happened at the house this week,

Timber flooring is down

All door handles and hardware fitted

Driveway has been cut and crushed rock compacted

Wardrobes fitted out, but when we move in I'll be ripping the standard shelf and pole out and getting my mate to build custom wardrobe

Tried some panorama photos to get more in

Fark that just f*cken pisses me off every frigging time I see a pic like that showing a NBN box in the garage.

Those bloody boxes should be banned from the world period. There is no way you can patch your network cables correctly.

At the same time the power leads cause interference.

This is a 9 RU coms rack and even that is way to much.

It should be installed high up in the garage and not low like the current boxes.

This would make so much easier for so many people.

the above box is cheaper as well.

yeah, not much room for a switch in those boxes... what's the point of having a patch panel (dodgy looking one, but looks like it'd suit the purpose) without room to mount a switch/router combo :P
