in most cases steve they have obviously moved a fair bit of earth, in particular around the slab, obviously. Your house is sweet coz on footings but the earth your pipe is in will settle. Nek mennet (12 months or so) no water in the tank and your yard floods when it rains.... All have mine have come away, they are the box type into an adaptor then flexi under ground. It will happen with the rdgid pvc. They make expansion joins exactly for this reason. Could be wrong your block was flat and nice red dirt. that's why I pointed out Im not a geologist. Just speaking from my own experiance/observations

did your slab have a little set down around the perimiter for the bricks? are you just talking about the slag that's come out under the form? If so thay chit is sweet to just smash, jackhammer off to get em snug.

The visible red dirt is actually river sand that was dropped on the rocky ground and then compacted, dunno if it will move much or not...the in law's joint has been good for like 8 years with the same sort of connections so fingers crossed we don't have any issues!  Can't flow out of the tank anyway since it feeds in from the top which is plenty higher than the pipes around the house.  Would stop new water going in of course until fixed.

I'll see how that join colour goes after a month or so and then will shade it in a tad I think hahaha.  The average colour of the top is certainly not bright white like this join.  The join on the house I'm in now is waaayyyy better colour match and it's a slightly darker (still light) colour top with more chunks in it.
