Cheers, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out...especially after having to shovel and move 30 bags of sand. See how it goes. It's a fairly shade resistant buffalo and ran retic for it...but we'll see how it goes.

Your biggest challenge is going to be keeping the fungus and rot out, I don’t know your climate too well but a regular dose of a product called Mancozeb should help keep it under control. Looks great though!!

Work paid me a bonus this year, so rather than waste it I've decided (given it's extra cash) to use it to bolt a whole bunch of solar panels to the roof of my house. Paid the deposit today and should, all things going to plan, be installed before I start my new job. Went with:

  • 22x Optimised Canadian Solar split cell PERC 300W panels
  • SolarEdge HD Wave 5kW inverter
  • SolarEdge Energy Meter

I have whole house ducted reverse cycle aircon. If I didn't I would agree with you haha. Besides, this way I'm set once batteries come down in price.

yeah, my brother's house is fairly large and is completely ducted reverse cycle and the solar on his roof keeps up fine. Forgot how many kW it is, but I'm fairly sure it's less than what you've purchased :)
