also almost impossible to make it look like it isn't an add-on. and that hurts resale.

Someone is using his brain...

1. The extra metre gained would be minimal gain compared to :

A) the task of hiring a brickie to brick in the garage door

B) the ridiculous appearance of an add on from the front perspective of the house

C) this can be used to house a bike, hose reels, gardening equipment, and aircon compressor etc.

If that wasnt the case it would have also had to of had ezposed aircon pipe work running to the compressors location.

As u can see by this pix of the facade... how crappy would it look losing a roller door and bricking it in with a window... (sorry old google pic)

Also our plan is to make that more of a movie area/living walk through to 2 more bedrooms, a laundry and a bathroom down under the house... behind the garage itself... so where u see the door for the understairs/closet at the back of that room as it narrows that will actually be a hallway

Which will actually make the house a 5 bed + office ... 3 living areas... huge kitchen (coz we moved the laundry) and 3 bathroom.

might just be me but I always get suspicious of people who build rooms in their garages ;)

Where is your shed?

Not at our house... dyno was just too loud at home with babies and neighbours

We picked the old "location over big land with shed" ... our next place we want to be in the hills with a big plot of land and a huge house... for now while my parenta are old I wanted to be closer to them and our family and the city...

This is a place a few streets away.... assholes lol

that's a monster of a house but why did they only render/paint the front only they need to finish it off looks crap as is.

Maybe a small rural property might get away with dyno runs then. Plan sound good fluffy now that your in the game you know whats best and cost. Looking forward to seeing  it take shape

LOL not wrong there plus the front fence and gates but I must say the house does suit the block up high.

I've got a plan with current build/new house stay in it for 5 years (was 10) sell or rent out but move to coastal farm. Well that's my dream not wifes.

See what happens.

Got a letter from the estate advising that the NBN to the estate is delayed. Being severely delayed on construction doesn't feel as bad anymore. Imagine moving into a house with no internet!
