Sorry couldn't focus on anything home Reno related in the thread as I'm just so shocked Keith had a real girlfriend.

I'm more amazed the Kieth lives in a house, not upright in a locker somewhere.

Well, the ex's family finally came and grabbed her furniture and stuff on the weekend. Turns out I don't really own that much (furniture and kitchen utensil wise I mean) and the house was pretty empty afterwards. Was all rather surreal actually. So anyway, I went out and bought myself a new bed, as the ex had a nice comfortable one and I didn't really wanna go back to my old crappy bed and lose my spare/guest bed in the process. Decided my room's big enough, so I'd get a king size...no regrets! It's awesome! And freaky will be happy, because headboard. The base also lifts up on gas struts, so there heaps of storage underneath.

Also, not sure if I posted when I did this, but ripped out the old shower curtain in my ensuite and put in a shower screen. Was a $200 cheapy from Bunnings, but it's immensely better than having a shower curtain and makes the room feel a lot nicer.

hold on waaaw

exs family? have I missed something?

Well...I'm single again, so there's that...
Cheers. She was one of the sweetest, most caring people I've ever met. She has a lot of love to give, but unfortunately hasn't yet learnt to love herself properly. There's a fair bit of heavy baggage there that she is unwilling to get proper professional help for (or even talk to her best friend about), so I basically ended up her sole support and just totally wore me down. Literally had nothing left to give emotionally.

So, obviously, there's sadness there...but also a bit of relief with it in some ways.

Howdy all, as most of you know that my house is sh*t.

After contacting my lawyer and after yet another inspection which has taken forever we have got the final report back.

An estimated cost to fix the house has came back at 80K, just the house doesn't take into consideration other costs like over contract, etc etc.

I have also reported the certifier to the Builders Professional Boards who has taken on the case and are investigating the certifier. It also doesn't look good for them with so many fark ups on the house.

Since moving in the only thing I have done is turf the front and put in a garden near the garage. Looks ok down side it hasn't rained since I laid the grass 3 months ago. Fighting a losing battle but watering it 4x a week.

I'm still happy to leave this house and move on, HATE THE PLACE!!

you can have my 1980 built hous, with rotted timber facias, rusted gutters, lots of dodgy past renovation attempts, and good ol 80s styling oldness.
