Hopefully council doesn't stall too long - do you have neighbors that could complain about two story? I'm kinda involved in the home building game and have heard some horror stories about houses that get approved then other folks kick up a stink and cause MAJOR drama.

Good luck n don't let them slack off on the build (or council doing approvals - some are better than others - pre-constructions not my dept I'm just the IT guy lol)

Things like jet can go wire up all the down lights and extra points etc etc with no issues They were upfront they take a bit longer, but visiting nearly all SA builders we found their quality to be the best excluding the extreme high end. And I don't have 2 mil to spend lol Hopefully it pays off. We're doing all the council etc ourselves to save and plus my project management skills can come into play a little which is cool The costs associated with subdividing though... what a crap load of crap An "open space" fee I'm dyslexic and cannot turn off simple functions in tapatalk
Breeny Member 88 Member For: 11y 11m 10d Gender: Male Location: Adelaide Posted 21/03/17 10:30 AM Share Posted 21/03/17 10:30 AM Yeah exactly - one of the biggest slow downs to any build I've seen has been variations to a standard builders plan. To-ing and fro-ing between builder and council and owner just leads to mixups and drama. And extra months and unhappy people everywhere. It's good to find a builder who will let you do all that - if you guys have the skills its great they'll let you do it. Biggest thing will be getting a good supervisor you can both work with - sounds like you've got it all covered though - good luck! also - make sure you cable it up for decent internet access everywhere

Congrats Stripes on the new house mate enjoy and may there be lot of good times. Fluffy love it both look great but my fav is the right side. With the double vanities in both bath rooms and not once they are used at the same time. Only thing I would make sure is A/C. If running ducted just make sure they adjust the frame to allow room to duct the up stairs. Fingers crossed all goes well. Rednose the paving looks good mate nice colour also. Bring on next summer

Ducting has already been allowed for, jets main priority is over compensating on AC with a huge unit for our house lol.Full reverse cycle refrigerated ac through each house.
