We dug most of the trench ourselves to check for rocks over the long weekend, just in case. Had to bash apart a couple. Interestingly the bloke said that the builder electrician has failed to put some sort of safe to use certificate sticker inside the house fuse box. Because that was not there and the house was locked, he had to assume there might be exposed wires inside...so he left the power off both at the fuse box and the meter box up the end of my private road, with an unserviceable tag on the house fuse box. Builder can now inspect and power up if they are happy. He pointed out they would need to come back to fit fire alarms anyway, which I'm sure were not yet fitted last time we were inside a few weeks ago. Office contact said they will have the area manager inspect it next week, and arrange our customer handover inspection after that.

It was just solid clay and palm tree roots and took fricking hours and was brutal. At least new sites it's usually just sand for the most part

Most was OK but where it turned in to coffee rocks I had to get into it with the broad edge of a pick, shovel just stopped. Took me about 3 hours I think. Was fiddly work near the house though as the 90mm water pipes we laid were there already...not keen on busting it and having a few hundred litres of water spew out at me! They change sh1t when they want to suit them. We're doing a walk through next week for electrical. The other issue is the overflow plumbing for the pool more fuking drama. Plumbing was put in by me and paid by me but before that all 3 of us agreed on where to run the plumbing. By all 3 I mean builder, pool guy and me where on site. I ran the plumbing as approved and a few days after it was ripped out and no one (me and pool guy) were not told why it was taken out.........NOT HAPPY! it still has not been reinstalled and now the builder is telling me it needs doing ASAP. Well Im not doing it. I spoke with pool guy and he said to send a guy down it could cost around the $1200 but agreed that I should not have to pay. email sent to builders and pool guy they can work it out and in the email I clearly state that I will not be out laying any extra cost. See what happens. Ground looks soft Steve and yeah take your time around the tanks mate differently dont want to hit one of them

Yep, but they all join up to the horizontal pipe down each side of the house and remain charged with water to the level of the pipes that drop it in the top of the water tank. No scheme water here; we drink, cook, bathe and wash our cars in what falls from the sky....rain and some dust and bird sh*t hahaha. You must be a patient man, I would have put a claw hammer into the builders head by now... Really hope things come together for you - Update for me - Tiler has been and everything has been laid, just needs the grout Looks awesome but will have to get some photos in the daylight, as we went after work All the downpipes have been connected to the storm water, so only a bit of render on the facade and our driveway and the outside will be all done Inside the electrician has been this week and fitted all of the switches and lights installed, connected the power also! Plumbing fit off, wardrobe fit outs and lay the floor is the only major jobs left inside, hopefully another month it will be pretty close
