Pixy, you might get away with a Daikin VRV (multiple indoor systems running from one outdoor unit) or a similar setup from other manufacturers if you can stretch the budget. We had a company that only used Daikin and he never mentioned a VRV system. He also quoted us for ducted and 1 split. Our first house we went with Daikin and I wanted the same. Second quote they used Mitsubishi same size system for both and same location of out door. Looks like quote 2 wins. The architect never accommodated for the ducted system. Wooooo I love the switches I picked, they go awesome with the metal robe frames and the wall tiles. Hated the plasticy ones so we upgraded them. You can rip off the coloured frames and swap them out for others in the range so I chose to mix the shades. Crappy photo of the mirrored robe frame, my bad.
