Blokes on site lit a fire after we left today...it's a fire ban and there's loads of leaves around there near the house FFS. Bit windy...if it got going.... Neighbour called us and I offered to go down and chat to them but they did it on our behalf. Workers are staying the night because they live like 4 hours away. That's not the render on the front btw, pretty sure it's the same hard concrete like inside. Walking in to white rooms makes it feel so much more realistic. Here's the missus imagining all the tasty food she can cook me once the kitchen is done!! :D Pic taken in dining area (plastic bottle in above pic) at 11am, not too much sun getting in which is good. Planning on planting some plants down the bottom I think, to stop a bit more sun from heating us in summer.

The goal of spending Christmas in the new home is seeming slimmer by each day. Oh well.

It gives you more of an idea how big the rooms are when the walls are up. In pic 1 is that storm water pipes coming from the eaves Not seen here done that way in NSW. Another tiny thing we missed on the plans. Wasn't in the 3D perspective render either. We're going to set up something around the right hand corner to let it out instead of a pipe straight down the front of the portico. Who the hell would think that's a nice place. Spotted a nearby house that doesn't have one at all so might go ask them what they did to drain water from those gutters. It's a small section of roof at least. Edit Oh you mean the pipe on the brick face. It's not cut through yet so I'm interested to see what happens there.
