Now someone is saying the F6 has this overboost feature to 335kw. I read somewhere that the new GT F 351 has an overboost feature allowing it to push 400kw for a short period of time. discostig Manual mode ________________________ All day, erryday Donating Members 13,798 Member For: 17y 1m 10d Gender: Male Location: Probably above atmospheric pressure Posted 13/11/15 11:54 AM Share Posted 13/11/15 11:54 AM The transient overboost function (at least on the GT) was difficult to get to activate during dyno pulls. It takes a specific set of circumstances, temperature, road speed, commanded throttle etcFord had to get them to run it up a few times during the head to head shootouts against the GTS for this reason. Probably the same for the Barra270T and Barra310T

I was told that the F6 runs a bigger turbo but the funny thing is that when I looked at my turbo and the turbo in my mates F6 they "appeared" to be the same size. So how does this work and how accurate are these figures above? Edited 13/11/15 08:30 PM by kokentoe

And the figures above are accurate XR6T - GT3576 turbo F6 - GT3582 turbo This is only on FG model though"B" series cars all had the same turbo

The more I can learn about these motors the better. You know what I am? I'm a dog chasing cars...I wouldn't know what to do with one if I caught it.
